Know the downside
before you enter.

Prediction markets make the click easy. Steady makes the decision accountable — max loss first, policy-checked execution, verifiable fills, and a pause when you start chasing.

The problem
Short windows reward speed.
Your account needs friction.
Without Steady

Price looks like a number. Max loss is hidden. Two losses turn into a revenge trade. Winnings sit unclaimed because Finalized markets vanish from the live list. Settlement is a black box.

With Steady

Max loss is the first number. Policy blocks bad trades with an exact code. Fills show quoted vs actual. Settlement is a Finalized scan plus ERC-6909 balances — void pays 0.5. Redemption is one click with explorer evidence.

Control loop
Decide → Check → Execute → Verify.

Four steps, one accountable trail. The market moves fast. Your rules shouldn't.

01 — Decide
Honest ticket
Max loss → quantity, pay, payout. Tick/lot snapped. Spread and expiry visible before you sign.
02 — Check
Policy gate
Trading status 1, headroom ≥ 60s, liquidity, spread, balance, 2-loss cooldown. Denies with a code, not a shrug.
03 — Execute
IOC with proof
Immediate-or-Cancel (type 2). Expiry now + 120s capped at market expiry − 10s. Fixed 60 gwei / 10M gas.
04 — Verify
Receipt + fill
Tx hash, receipt, fill price vs quoted, order and fill IDs, explorer link, position lifecycle.

Discipline
Discipline, not dopamine.
Explicit downside
Max loss is the largest number on the ticket — not the price.
One input. The system reads book, tick, lot, and balance, then tells you the consequence.
Cooldown
2 consecutive losses → 3-minute block at the execution boundary.
Not a warning banner. The Buy buttons disable and the timer counts down.
Calibration
Brier < 0.25 is Steady. Edge = win rate − avg price.
Needs 5 settled calls. Until then Steady shows “—” honestly instead of inventing skill.
Cooldown active02:31
2 consecutive losses. Trading resumes in 02:31.

Verification
Every trade leaves a trail.

Default: show the mined fill state. Then View proof — quoted vs actual, quantity, max loss, expiry, policy, transaction, fill, position, settlement, redemption.
